Across the globe, many countries have established design councils that provide support and advocacy for design in business as well as society. The United States is one of the big exceptions. However, the US recently has begun to evolve some government initiatives that promote design. Not only that, but government organizations such as the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts in the US) are specifically supporting the value of design.
