Prior to his current role, Schultz was a lifecycle assessment (LCA) practitioner at SCS for four years, applying LCA metrics to a wide range of industrial production systems, including paper, lumber, electricity generation, steel, aluminum, zinc, glass, biopolymers, plastics, and more. He has spoken at numerous design, LCA, and climate-related conferences. He has an MS degree in mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley, and a BS degree in physics from UC Santa Cruz.
