"Design and design thinking are part of a third culture separate from the sciences and humanities. This paper will reposition design thinking within key philosophical and educational models. I will illustrate how design thinking as a method, process and approach can be taught through a focus on project based learning, innovation, a redefinition of technology and the integration of Participatory Action Research objectives and participant observation methodologies."
