Markets are conversations, as the authors of The Cluetrain Manifesto famously put it, and that is exactly what Gwyneth Dwyer and illustrator Kelly Brown were thinking when they put together this conversation masquerading as a cartoon. Dwyer, who is director of writing services for the Larsen interactive, branding, and design firm, imagines a typical corporate marketing office trying to come to terms with the new realities of social media. Issues of legal requirements, rules of engagement, disclosure, and plans for handling potential crises come to the fore here in an engaging and familiar format.
